You don't need to wait for Valentine's, birthdays or anniversaries - any night can be a great excuse to try out some new Romantic Dinner recipes or visit your favorite restaurant.

I love the idea of going to a dessert restaurant or a bed and breakfast for the weekend.

Romantic Date Ideas

You can go for dinner or you can do lunch or an afternoon get together. In fact, if you don’t know the person very well a day time date can be a great idea.

For a first date you may want to stick with the safe – meet for lunch at a nice café and get to know each other.

If you want your personality to shine then do something a bit different. You want to see if your date likes to have fun, has a sense of humour and adventure.

Some fun date ideas:

• Ice Skating or Roller Skating – lots of laughs guaranteed if one of you is not a very good skater


• Horse Riding – Trail rides are held in some great locations


• Visit a Theme Park and ride a roller coaster


• Wine Tasting afternoon – many wineries have café’s, you can stop at one for lunch


• Hire some bikes and ride around a park


• Miniature Golf

Romantic Picnic

There’s nothing like a drive in the country to a scenic riverside location, the perfect picnic with champagne and strawberries. That’s if all goes well! Which of course it will.

Visit the picnic spot you are considering at around the same time and day you are planning for the picnic and make sure it’s not too crowded. Imagine seeing a great quite spot as you drive past on Tuesday, only to find it packed with family picnickers on Sunday!
