Pacman and Ghost Cakes

I had fun making this Pacman and Ghost Cake!

As my husband and I have 6 days between our birthdays I saw the need for 2 cakes.

I put orange rind and juice through the pacman cake and purple sprinkles through the ghost one for something a little different. Although the sprinkles melted a bit through the cake while it was cooking and gave it a strange greyish colour so I don't think that I would do this again. Coloured coconut might have worked better.

I used a small round cutter to get the wavy shape along the bottom of the ghost and this seemed to work well.

Piped white buttercream for the 'pills' that pacman eats, these have candles stuck in them so look blue in the photo :) The picture does this cake no justice - it was much more impressive in person!
