Butterfly Cake - Lexi's 3rd bday

A Butterfly Cake for a third birthday party. OK, so Lexi actually had a say with this one!

It was a big cake - we ended up with half of it left after the party!

Used a biscuit tray to cook the cake (plain vanilla) in two parts and made a strawberry cream layer. Buttercream for the icing.

Had to do a bit of handywork to get the design on the top to fit on the cake properly - found some fantastic designs on wilton.com.

she was very excited by this one!
